Baltimore Bays Chelsea U-18s looks to extend first place lead in Development Academy Mid-Atlantic Division
By Jimmy LaRoue
It’s a quiet weekend for Development Academy teams over the Memorial Day holiday, as just 18 clubs are in action, and only two are local teams.
In Under-18 play, Baltimore Bays Chelsea (5-0-1 division, 15-4-2 overall) will look to extend its first place lead in the Mid-Atlantic Division in its Saturday matchup against Potomac (0-3-2, 1-12-7), though FC Delco (3-1-2, 11-4-6) will have a chance to keep pace or close the gap with a win Sunday against PA Classics (2-2-2, 10-7-4). The two clubs’ U-16s will also be in action.
CASL Chelsea FC Academy and North Carolina Fusion’s U-16s and U-18s were on Thursday’s schedule. CASL’s U-16s (7-0-2, 10-2-6) are in a second place tie with Virginia Rush (7-3-2, 10-9-4), each just one point behind first place Charlotte Soccer Academy (7-2-3, 8-7-6).
