Development Academy, most of ECNL taking holiday weekend off
By Jimmy LaRoue
The U.S. Soccer Development Academy is taking the Easter/Passover weekend off, while the Elite Clubs National League has just two clubs playing.
The Under-14 through U-18 teams for So Cal Blues SC and San Diego Surf will face each other Saturday in ECNL play, but otherwise, all the other league’s teams are off for the holiday.
Both leagues resume play next weekend, with more than 100 games each slated for the academy and ECNL.
The ECNL just completed one of their five annual showcase events last weekend in San Diego.
