ECNL: East Coast teams in action, three clubs meet in Utah
By Jimmy LaRoue
Mostly Mid-Atlantic Conference and Southeast Conference teams will be in action this weekend in Elite Clubs National League play.
Carmel United Under-14s will play a pair of games over the weekend in Midwest Conference play, while there are a scattering of Mountain West Conference and Midwest Conference games across age groups, but the rest of the action is coming from the East Coast.
Sereno Soccer Club’s U-15s (5-3-1) will look to close the gap between itself and first place Colorado Rush in the Mountain West Conference, as they play Colorado Storm Saturday and Utah Avalanche Sunday. Sereno’s U-16s are also in second place, with a 6-2-1 record.
Utah Avalanche are hosting U-15 through U-18 games among their own teams, Colorado Storm and Sereno this weekend.
As part of the Jefferson Cup this weekend, Richmond Strikers’ U-14 through U-18 teams are playing Ohio Premier Saturday and Ohio Elite Sunday.
FC Virginia’s U-17s (10-1-1) will look to maintain their standing in a pair of games this weekend against the same two teams – Ohio Elite Saturday and Ohio Premier Sunday.
