LA Galaxy Academy U-16s open Liga Bancomer Tournament with win

(Via LA Galaxy) – The LA Galaxy Academy U-16’s are in Mexico City to take part in the Liga Bancomer International Tournament.
The Galaxy began group play this morning with a 1-0 victory over the Philadelphia Union’s U-16 squad. After a scoreless first half, the Galaxy stole the ball from 35 yards out and played a quick ball forward that found Kevin Negrete. Negrete calmly gathered the pass at the top of the 18-yard box and slotted his shot past the on-rushing Philadelphia goalkeeper.
